Prince Albert SK – Five of the Prince Albert Raiders 2012 Bantam Draft Picks have been invited to attend their respective Provincial Under-16 camps in the coming weeks.

Defenceman Connor Hobbs, drafted 67th overall, and centre Caleb Seaman, selected 177th overall, will participate in Team Saskatchewan’s camp on July 29-August 2nd in Wilcox, Saskatchewan.

Westward, left-winger Matteo Gennaro, selected 41st overall, defenceman Jordan Boulton, taken 89th overall, and the Raiders 99th overall pick, centre Dylan Stewart, will attend the Team Alberta Under-16 Summer Camp from July 16-22.

The Raiders 3rd overall selection in the 2012 Draft, defenceman Brendan Guhle, has been exempt from the Team Alberta Camp, as he is currently attending the Allstate All-Canadians Program in Mississauga, Ontario with fellow Raider prospect, 23rd overall pick, goaltender Nick McBride.

The Under-16 evaluation camps are the second stage of development and identification process that feeds provincial Under-16 teams and regional Under-17 teams. Following the provincial camp, players will be scouted with their club teams for the early portion of the season, before Team Alberta and Team Saskatchewan name their 20 player rosters for the Western Canada Under-16 Challenge in November.

The Raiders open up training camp on August 28th, and kick off the regular season with the annual 900 CKBI Home Opener on Friday September 21st. Call 764-GAME(4263) to get your season tickets!
