Spring Camp May 29-31

Raider Spring Camp this weekend

Prince Albert, Saskatchewan – The Prince Albert Raiders will welcome 28 list players this weekend for their Spring Camp.  The 20 players are 1994 (16 year-old) and 1993 (17  year-old) born players are eligible to return for main training camp in August and vie for a spot on the Western Hockey League team’s roster for the 2010-11 season.

The players will go through fitness testing, have an individual training program developed for them, learn about nutrition, goal setting and what it takes to play in the Western Hockey League as well as become familiar with the Raiders dressing room and weight room within the Art Hauser Centre.  There also will be a number of team building activities to get the players familiar with each other before they take part in the Raider training camp.

“Our coaching staff feels it is important to give these players an opportunity to understand and learn the demands required in the WHL and to be a Raider”, says Head Coach and General Manager Bruno Campese.  “With the great competition within the WHL the importance of conditioning, nutrition and mental training have become more evident in our program.”

Registration is at 3:00 PM Friday afternoon at the Art Hauser Centre with the camp concluding Sunday morning.
