Raiders Deal 1st Round CHL Import Pick to Tri-City

Prince Albert, Saskatchewan – The Prince Albert Raiders have traded their first round

selection, 16th overall in the Canadian Hockey League import draft to the Tri-City Americans in exchange for a 4th round selection in the 2011 Bantam Draft. 

     Yesterday the Raiders acquired 19 yer-old Danish centre Sebastian Svendsen from the Edmonton Oil Kings.  Forward Igor Revenko, who will be a 20 year-old this season, is the other European on their roster.  Revenko, who was selected in the 1st round, 48th overall in the 2008 CHL Import Draft, is entering his third season with the Raiders, is from Belarus.

     Both Svendsen (Denmark) and Revenko (Belarus) have played for their respective nations at the past two World Junior Championships.

     The Raiders passed on their 2nd round selection.
